The wings of love beat strongly,
as the heart beats smoothly,
more quickly, overflowing,
out from me to you, runneth over.

Like a chickadee, darting down to land
ever so briefly, a quick song, cheerful,
capturing your attention, your love,
so my love flies into your arms, hopeful.

And if perchance your attention stays,
and grows, so my attention grows,
and love blooms all the sweet scents
of spring and hope and joy float around us.
