new art, new dance, new things,
old things, and things move along.
Lots of photos, but I'll just post this one for now:

Less than a week till our local regional burning man, Interfuse. I've volunteered this year to work with the Earth Guardian team. Basically recycling and lost and found is what we take care of. What makes the burning man type of festivals different from all other festivals is that one day after it is over, you can walk through the area where it took place and not realize there was anything going on there except for some tamped down grass where the tents were, and probably some tire tracks. The other big thing that is different from all other festivals is that there are no vendors. It is a gift economy for the duration -- no selling, no bartering, just partying and giving and relaxing or exploding with energy and art.

Ah, springtime,

And if you happen to have a camera or vid, I'd love it if you could catch me during my fire sword play just before the main burn on saturday night.

Mostly I try to create art or something like that when I make photographs. To sell art, though, I guess I need to learn a foreign language, the patter used by gallery directors and such. Apparently I can't just say I got what I wanted to get and I like how it turned out, I have to explain it in terms of some kind of art movement...
I am sometimes available to do portraits, cover events, or do portfolio work of people or animals on location in the Jefferson City and Columbia Missouri area.
